Aina Alegre created STUDIO FICTIF in 2014. STUDIO FICTIF is a company and a structure that supports and accompanies Aina Alegre’s choreographic production and dissemination projects, artistic collaborations, as well as research and educational actions.
STUDIO FICTIF is also conceived, as Aina Alegre explains in this interview with Laura Alcalà, as a mental, dreamlike space, a fiction, as Virginia Woolf says, ‘A room of one’s own’, a personal, imaginary room where you can enter to create, deposit ideas and invite other collaborating artists to take part in projects: dancers, lighting designers, sound designers, set designers, costume designers, dramaturgists and all the other professions needed to produce a work.
STUDIO FICTIF produced NO SE TRATA DE UN DESNUDO MITOLÓGICO (2012). This was followed by DÉLICES (2015), LE JOUR DE LA BÊTE (2017), and LA NUIT, NOS AUTRES (2019). The solo R-A-U-X-A in 2020. In 2021, ÉTUDE 4, FANDANGO AND OTHERS CADENCES, at the Festival d’Avignon as part of the ‘Vive le sujet!’ programme co-produced with the SACD. In 2022, she created THIS IS NOT (AN ACT OF LOVE & RESISTANCE) at the December Dance festival in Bruges.
Alongside its stage projects, SUTUDIO FICTIF produced the research and performance project ÉTUDES between 2018 and 2022.
